The challenge: a multidisciplinary congress running two programs in parallel

The Valencian Society of Cardiology needed to organize the 43rd edition of the Congress of Cardiovascular Diseases CV in a format able to combine scientific content, hands-on training and networking into a dynamic, fluid experience for attendees.

One of the main challenges was running the main congress and the nursing program simultaneously, ensuring both schedules could coexist efficiently with no operational interference or space limitations.

The event required multiple rooms running at the same time for talks, workshops and free communications, spaces easily adaptable to different working formats, a comfortable and well-connected experience for healthcare professionals with different profiles, networking and downtime moments beyond the scientific program, and an environment capable of adding real value to the congress.

For the organizers it was essential to count on a partner able to offer operational flexibility, end-to-end coordination and a consistent experience for every attendee across the three days.

The solution: the entire Tempus Building and six simultaneous spaces

Bellver made the entire Tempus Building available to the organization, configuring each space according to the specific dynamics and needs of each program.

Zenit Hall hosted the main round tables and plenary sessions of the congress, while the first floor was specifically adapted for the nursing area, creating different environments for both talks and hands-on workshops.

Thanks to the versatility of the venues, it was possible to combine different room setups in parallel: theatre format for scientific sessions and conferences, tables-and-chairs layouts for interactive workshops, and independent spaces for free communications. The event ultimately ran six active spaces simultaneously, enabling a fluid, multidisciplinary program.

The food and beverage experience was designed in an open format, giving attendees the option to choose between different culinary venues within a few minutes of the main building. This dynamic encouraged informal networking and allowed more relaxed breaks within the rhythm of the congress.

Sustainability, emotion and an experiential closing

One of the most special moments of the event was the collaboration with Fundación Azul Marino for the release of two rescued sea turtles. Attendees took an active part in the experience, naming the turtles and accompanying their return to the sea. A deeply emotional activity that reinforced the values of sustainability, wellbeing and connection with the natural environment.

The congress closed at the central courtyard of Masía Bellver with a gala dinner in finger-food format, live music and DJ, creating a relaxed atmosphere that allowed professional relationships to keep flourishing in a much more experiential setting.

Results: bleisure applied to a scientific congress

The congress brought together nearly 180 attendees in a multidisciplinary format combining scientific training, hands-on workshops, networking and outdoor experiences. The flexibility of the spaces made it possible to run two complete programs in parallel —cardiology and nursing— ensuring a smooth operation and a comfortable experience for every participant.

Being able to adapt the rooms to different working formats supported a dynamic delivery of content and improved the experience of both attendees and speakers across the three days. The integration of experiential activities and downtime spaces also reinforced the bleisure concept, blending learning, wellbeing and networking within a distinctive natural environment.

The experience left a very positive perception among attendees, positioning the congress as a professional gathering able to go far beyond the traditional scientific format.

«Bellver allowed us to run two programs in parallel with impeccable operations and, at the same time, offer attendees experiential moments that enriched the congress far beyond the scientific content.»
