Tardearte is born, an initiative that reinforces Bellver Blue Tech Zone’s commitment to art and culture

• The first edition, on 26 August, features Conocimiento Flotante, the artistic installation by Damià that the venue has hosted since April
• The tour, guided by the artist himself and by the project’s curator, Pablo García, covers the three dimensions of the piece: the land sculpture at Bosque Masía Bellver, the underwater buoys anchored in the Benicàssim-Oropesa Site of Community Importance and the Vortex digital space

Oropesa del Mar (Castellón). On 26 August, Bellver Blue Tech Zone will host Tardearte, a new cultural initiative through which it consolidates its connection with art. The first edition of this new series is devoted to ‘Conocimiento Flotante: mar-tierra-digital’, the artistic installation by Damià unveiled last April.

The visit will cover the three dimensions of the work: the land sculpture located at Bosque Masía Bellver, whose structure combines fishing nets recovered from the seabed with an exterior of Roman concrete and graphene that helps absorb CO2; the underwater buoys shaped like human heads, anchored in the Benicàssim-Oropesa Site of Community Importance (SCI), which record parameters such as sea temperature and salinity in real time; and Vortex, the immersive digital space at Tempus that turns those data into visual flows and places the visitor at the centre of the work.

Damià himself and the project’s curator, Pablo García, will accompany the whole tour to share first-hand the creative process and the conceptual approach behind the piece. The day will close with a glass of wine at Bosque Masía Bellver, designed so that the audience can talk with both of them in a relaxed setting.

With the launch of Tardearte, Bellver Blue Tech Zone confirms its firm connection with art and culture, a line of work that the venue has been reinforcing in recent months with different initiatives. With this new event, Bellver Blue Tech Zone takes a further step and sets in motion a stable cultural programme with which it will continue to promote this type of activity in the coming months. Conocimiento Flotante, presented in April as the first work to integrate art, science and technology within the marine environment itself, thus becomes the starting point of this new cultural stage for Bellver Blue Tech Zone.
